Final Preperations and Saying Goodbye

This is my first attempt at updating via email (something I will have to do once I'm on the Island). I'm unsure of how to caption each photo individually because I have to attach them. But, the first two should be pictures of Ben and I's visit to see my old youth pastor and his wife and kids in Chanute, Kansas. It was an amazing time and great to see Liberty (first pic...same birthday as me) and Samuel, Trusten, and Braham. For about 6 days I went on that trip, a 3 day trip to Columbia to see everyone for the last time and have a commissioning service (second to last pic I believe?) and then 3 days in Kirksville/Macon to spend with family and my last time seeing my sister for 2 years :(
 
It was a great few trips though and really fun. It's started to set in on like 2-3 occassions that I'm actually leaving in like 4 days (for Georgia) and 6 days (for the islands), but usually I've just been numb to it. As you can probably tell, I like and overuse parenthesis. Anywho, finishing up last few details...except for it really feels like a million. I'll miss you all! Hopefully this works!

June 2025 Update Pics

Here are some photos of life lately. They all loaded in a random order so I just went with it. Enjoy: Luna and her teacher (with Daddy and Ben) on her very last day of Pre-K We had a small celebration for Ben's birthday with the team and at home with a candle in his grilled cheese sandwich. The real party will happen when his grandparents get here.  Us all together on Turtle Day enjoying our ice creams. Ice cream! An incredibly rare treat on our island! Nothing beats playing on the beach. When Luna dresses herself for our walks.  Luna and her friend playing dress up. Luna's pose just cracks me up.  I made John pose next this old building built in the old-timey way that is no longer used. A house built of coral by the beach on our date.  After Luna's last day of school she was allowed to invited a friend over for dinner to celebrate with rainbow spaghetti!  These 4 rule the neighborhood.  Jumping on the trampoline at a nice restaurant in town on Mother's Day...

February in Kenya (and some of the last year!)

Day sister's left :-( Cousin shenanigans Concert! Ben LOVES cars Elephant Orphanage Went on a day safari through Nairobi National Park A safari with kids is sure an interesting experience! Ben was super sick, he passed out on me like this Proud that I fed TWO giraffes at the same time! Making pizza at a restaurant called Under the Swahili Tree Jammed into an uber Reunion with our old team! Sibling love! (day they arrived) Found this at our conference center Not at all the outcome we were hoping for, but grateful to get to watch it and still grateful for getting to play in ANOTHER super bowl! Kid was getting warn out by kid's club! First pizza in kenya! Accidentally bought sour milk my first time to the grocery store! Not sure about these moving stairs thing The guy in the front is one of the star players for the national team. I thought I recognized him and asked...he was visiting with his two wives and like 8 kids. They play in qualifications for the World Cup later this year!...
